Baker contributes to another state title

SCOOBA – Preston Baker is getting used to winning state football championships.
After Baker and his Starkville High School teammates won the Mississippi High School Activities Association Class 5A State title last year, Baker was getting his hands on more hardware Saturday.
Baker helped the East Mississippi Community College Lions capture the MACJC State championship with a 61-24 victory over Jones County Junior College at Sullivan-Windham Field.
Winning the state as a Yellowjacket last year was satisfying for Baker, but he knows getting one at the junior college level holds added significance.
"It's a little bit different," Baker said. "This time after winning a state championship we're going on to try and win a national.
