RecPlex clears way for new dining hall

As a member of Mississippi State University’s men’s tennis team, Tassilo Schmid knows the difference the terrain of a course can make during a game.

Currently, he said, the stadium the team typically uses for practice are undergoing renovations, with new courts being built. So, for the past two or three weeks, he said the team had been using two of six new tennis courts at the MSU RecPlex near South Farm, before the other four opened to the public. The courts may have been built for the campus population at large, but he said they were good enough for the NCAA.
