Starkville Academy girls basketball coach Glenn Schmidt is anxious to find out if the moves she has made with her team recently are the correct ones.
The East Rankin Academy Tournament will provide the situation Schmidt needs.
The Lady Volunteers open the season against Bowling Green (La.). The junior high game takes place at 4 p.m. with the varsity game following.
"It gives you a chance to put them out there early, make sure you have the right people in the right places and that you are doing the right things for your team," Schmidt said about the tournament opportunity.
