This yearâ€™s Fall Trunk or Treat Festival was supposed to be a first for First Baptist Church of Starkville.
Charity Gwaltney, FBC director of childrenâ€™s ministry, said FBC had traditionally hosted inflatables outdoors and other activities inside FBCâ€™s outreach center on or near Halloween. Trunk-or-treating combines tailgating with trick-or-treating by having families park their vehicles together and hand out candy to costumed children. It was an experiment Gwaltney said would have to wait.
