According to a new national study, college students may not be as prepared for the job market as they think they are.
Chegg, an academic company specializing in textbook rentals, homework help and scholarships, asked 2,001 college students what skills they thought would be important in the workplace and how prepared they thought they were. Then they asked 1,000 hiring managers for their opinions about recent college graduates they had interviewed over the past two years and those graduatesâ preparedness for the jobs they sought. Chegg then compared the two perspectives in âBridge that Gap: Analyzing the Student Skill Index.â
