Volunteers lose 17-13 on the road to Panthers

FRENCH CAMP – The Starkville Academy Volunteers could not hold onto a second-half lead and lost 17-13 to the French Camp Academy Panthers Friday night.
After the Vols had taken a 13-10 lead in the second half on a touchdown run by Houston Clark, his second of the game, the homestanding Panthers scored the winning touchdown with 2 minutes remaining in the contest when Jesse Hosket found Corrie Whitt for a 37-yard scoring play.
Starkville Academy saw its record fall to 3-5 with the loss, while French Camp won its fourth-straight game to even its mark at 4-4.
