SHS volleyball beats Madison Central in three sets

October 10, 2013

Anytime a team suffers a tough loss it can put a damper on team morale.
Add in the fact that the loss eliminated the team from playoff contention and the potential damage is maximized.
That could have been the case with Starkville High’s volleyball team who saw their postseason dreams end Tuesday with a loss to Hernando, but instead of giving up, the girls pushed through and are determined to finish the season strong.
“(Wednesday) in practice, they came out and we still practiced with a purpose,” Lady Yellowjackets coach Lauren Love said. “Sometimes after a loss like that, it is hard to find a purpose. We talked about the loss and we are ready to move on.”
