Chancellor visits Bulldogs practice

October 8, 2013

Van Chancellor is no stranger to basketball in the state of Mississippi.
The long-time women's basketball coach was in his hometown of Louisville on Tuesday and decided to give Mississippi Sate women's coach Vic Schaefer a call.
He wanted to swing by practice in Starkville and check out the Bulldogs.
"I just decided I'd call him (Tuesday morning) late, decided I'd ride over and see how he's doing," Chancellor said. "I kind of felt like I was home."
Chancellor, a graduate of MSU, coached at Ole Miss, LSU and in the WNBA with the Houston Comets. He led the Comets to four-straight WNBA titles from 1997-2000.
