The Mississippi State Bulldogs are still having trouble reaching the next level.
After losing a 59-26 decision to LSU at Davis Wade Stadium Saturday night, MSU head coach Dan Mullen is still looking for that signature win in the Southeastern Conference since taking over the program in 2009.
Mullen's Bulldogs have been good in the last four years. They have made three-straight NCAA postseason bowl games and defeated Michigan handily 52-14 in the 2011 Gator Bowl.
It has been in the SEC where MSU has struggled.
MSU resides in the toughest division in the most difficult conference in college football.
In Mullen's tenure, the Bulldogs have not beaten LSU (0-5), have not beaten Alabama (0-4), have beaten Auburn once (1-4), have beaten Arkansas once (1-3), but have beaten Ole Miss three times (3-1).
