SMITH COLUMN: EMCC scoring points easily against teams

September 28, 2013

Smith

It's a good idea to take a calculator when going to watch an East Mississippi Community College football game.
Sometimes that's the only way to keep track of all the scoring.
The things that the Lions are doing on the football field, both offensively and defensively, this season are nothing short of incredible.
Points are coming for EMCC and are coming in large numbers.
The Coahoma Community College Tigers could do nothing to slow down the surge on Saturday afternoon in Scooba. The Lions scored on their first nine offensive possessions of the game and won 90-7 at Sullivan-Windham Field. The 90 points tied a national junior college record.
