LINK emphasizes Japanese culture at business seminar

When Yokohama Tire Company comes to West Point, officials expect some amount of Japanese employees to come with it, both during and after construction.

Macaulay Whitaker, Columbus-Lowndes Chamber of Commerce vice president with the Golden Triangle LINK, said Kajima Construction Corporation USA in Atlanta not only had the contract to design the Yokohama plant but was also likely to get the construction contract. For both construction of and staffing of the plant, she said only a small percentage of the employees would be Japanese, but the Golden Triangle needed to be ready for that percentage.
