Falcons play in rain, remain in a routine

September 25, 2013

There were two teams in Class 6A, Region 2 that played in the rain and didn't have an open date last week.
The Columbus Falcons were one of those.
Even though Columbus struggled and lost a 21-10 decision to Louisville, head coach Tony Stanford was glad to be able to keep playing.
"I don't like the open dates," Stanford said. "I think once you get them on a routine, you need to keep them on a routine. It's just a lot better playing week to week instead of having a break in there. That's just my personal belief. Other coaches probably have other beliefs."
