MFJ head speaks to Rotary about humble beginnings

September 24, 2013

MFJ founder Martin Jue (right) spoke to the Starkville Rotary Club on Monday. Jue used his address to tell Rotarians about his upbringing and the company’s beginnings. The Starkville-based company is the largest ham radio equipment manufacturer in the world. (Photo by Alex Holloway, SDN)

Before he started world’s largest ham radio manufacturer, Martin Jue worked in a small town Mississippi grocery store.

“I got a degree in electrical engineering from Mississippi State and a master’s degree in electrical engineering from Georgia Tech,” Jue said. “Then, with my brand new master’s degree in electrical engineering, I went home and ran the grocery store.”
