George Evans remembers when he and Ruth Morgan were children, back in the 1940s.

He said he had started shining shoes in his father’s parlor at the age of eight, and Morgan’s father was a frequent customer of the parlor. He also remembers Morgan sitting on her father’s knee. He said it was not the only memory they shared.
