Coming on the heels of an appearance in the College World Series National Championship Series, Mississippi State's recruiting class was recognized as one of the best in the nation.
Collegiate Baseball released its rankings on Friday and the Bulldogs were No. 2 on the list.
The 2012-13 ranking class is the highest in school history. MSU's 1994 class was ranked No. 1 in the country.
"It is really exciting for respected people inside our industry to recognize the work of (assistant coaches) Nick Mingione and Butch Thompson, two of the best recruiters in all of college baseball," Mississippi State head baseball coach John Cohen said. "We certainly will not be able to judge the quality of this class for a few years, but we really like this 2013 class."
