9/11 memories still leave mark

Moments where we remember precisely where we were at a given point in time are relatively few. Be they personal or set upon the international stage, moments such as these are precious snippets of time that leave a mark so profound on the soul and the national — global — community, words will never fully express their true nature.

Nov. 22, 1963, comes to mind. While it was before my time, I’ve never known anyone of the age to remember who couldn’t tell you exactly where they were standing and what they were doing the moment President John F. Kennedy was shot. The memory still brings tears to my father’s eyes.
