EUPORA â He wears number 34 as a tribute to Walter Payton.
When not on the football field, he likes to relax and spend time with his family and he just might be one of the most selfless athletes playing high school football.
Those statements all apply to Euporaâs Lamontae Salley, who as a junior has worked his way to becoming the Eaglesâ starting tailback. That starting position is not one that came easy to Salley, who coach Junior Graham said âstruggled to get on the field in 7th and 8th grade,â but Salley was more than willing to put in the work necessary.
âIt took hard work, dedication and listening to people who played before me and really applying their advice,â Salley said.
