Three injured in wreck Sunday

August 27, 2013

Three people were injured Sunday evening when a pickup collided with a passenger car at the intersection of Old Highway 25 and Poorhouse Road. Oktibbeha County Sheriff's Department Commander Brett Watson said three individuals in the car were injured in the wreck and were taken to OCH Regional Medical Center. The pickup truck driver declined medical treatment. He said the truck was traveling north and the car was traveling east across the intersection when the two vehicles collided. Oktibbeha County Fire Coordinator Kirk Rosenhan said the Central Oktibbeha Volunteer FireDepartment responded to the incident, as did Engine 4 of the Starkville Fire Department. He said firefighters extracted the injured individuals from the car. Watson said the sheriff's department issued no citations for the incident.
