Moving on up the social ladder

It's occurred to me lately that my title in life has changed a number of times since I was a child, and each time the change indicates a greater change in my life position.

As my father's name is Bob, my unofficial, official title growing up was "Bob's boy." Honestly, there are still some in Warren, Ark., who call me "Bob's boy" and will for as long as they live.
