Starkville Samaritan Club begins annual raffle - Proceeds to benefit area child abuse prevention agencies

August 14, 2013

Starkville Samaritan Club is a small group but a force to be reckoned with in providing financial support for local child abuse prevention agencies.

Some 21 members strong, the organization manages to contribute about $15,000 per year to agencies within the Golden Triangle area, including the Palmer Home for Children, Sally Kate Winters Family Services, Starkville Boys & Girls Club and Starkville School District Family-Centered Programs. The goal, according to club Vice President Cindy Mills, was to give area children the opportunity to meet their full potential.
