David Leigh Kirkman

Mr. David Leigh Kirkman, 53 Maben, MS passed away in Arcola, MS; on Monday, August 12, 2013.

David was the owner of Covered K Arena and of Kirkman Logging, a bull rider, rodeo clown, rodeo announcer and a member of Mathiston First Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Sheila Kirkman of Maben, MS; sons, Justin Clay Kirkman (Courtney) of Maben, MS; and Cody James (Jammie) of Albuquerque, NM; sisters, Elizabeth Davis of Starkville, MS; Jennifer Kirkman of Sessums, MS and Isla K. Wheeler of Fulton, MS; brother, William Kirkman of Ackerman, MS; grandchildren, Colton and Cooper Kirkman; Kody Lynn, Zayne and Sebastian James.

Visitation for Mr. Kirkman will be held on Thursday, August 15, 2013 from 3-5 p.m. at the Covered K Arena with the funeral service immediately following at 5 p.m. at the Covered K Arena conducted by Rev. Wade Stevens.  Burial will follow in Memorial Garden Park in Starkville.
