The Bulldog Lanes will be filled with activity on the next two Thursdays with high school students looking to fill spots on the Starkville High School bowling team.
SHS bowling coach Jim Philamlee has been anticipating the tryouts for some time and said the prospects look promising.
"I'm impressed with some girls we've got coming on and I'm also impressed with a girl from last year that's improving," Philamlee said. "We've had our boys since middle school and they are constantly improving. Bowlers like Seth Prewitt and others were responsible with us winning the regional championship last year."
