Team at Choctaw County comes together

August 10, 2013

ACKERMAN – More than football has been taking place as Choctaw County prepares for the upcoming season.
With the merger of area schools Ackerman and Weir, not only are the players learning new plays, but they are also getting to know their new teammates.
As the first week came to an end, coach Adam Dillinger is amazed at just how well the teams have joined and how difficult it is to tell who came from where. They truly are one united Chargers team.
“We have had a good week,” Dillinger said. “We got a lot of kids and they are all getting along great. I couldn’t ask for anything better from the kids. They’ve gotten together, worked hard and meshed well. They are all one and how they did it, I don’t know, but they have done a really good job as far as coming together.”
