There is a line that former Mississippi State men's basketball coach Rick Stansbury used often that even though we may have gotten to hear it over and over again, there's truth to the statement.
When the Bulldogs entered a season with several veterans coming back that went through the rugged Southeastern Conference schedule and perhaps the postseason in the previous year, it would lead Stansbury to say, "there's no substitute for experience."
