Americans split WS games

July 20, 2013

SOUTHAVEN – The Starkville American All-Stars will be playing for their World Series lives today after splitting a pair of games on Saturday.
“We are at the point in the tournament where there are no easy teams,” Starkville American coach Charlie Williamson said. “The first game was a hard-fought game. We both hit the ball well and both made defensive plays, then in the second game we ran into a very good hitting team out of Georgia.”
