Coming to theater: Mississippi Gridiron Gold covers the history of high school football

Fans of Mississippi High School football will have a unique opportunity to see that history unfold on the movie screen in the Starkville area.
Mississippi Gridiron Gold is a full-length documentary celebrating high school football in Mississippi will be shown during a premier on two nights on July 29-30 at Hollywood Premier Cinema in Starkville. There will be a 7 p.m. sitting and a 9 p.m. sitting each night.
"This is a movie about the history of high school football in Mississippi," Starkville High School football coach Jamie Mitchell said. "It just goes back and talks about how important Friday nights are in so many little towns across this state and what high school football has meant.
