Getting my life back to normal

For 17 days, my apartment sat in the relative calm of bachelor living, with only the television and the regular bustle of getting ready for work in the morning breaking the otherwise unending silence.

But yesterday, at about 7 p.m. to be more specific, my apartment again housed the sounds of normalcy as if they had never left.

“Turn around and eat.” “Go find your shoes.” “No toys in the living room.” “Let’s go brush your teeth.”
