McKee Park will be busy with baseball action this weekend.
Beginning Friday afternoon, the park will play host to the Dizzy Dean 8-year-old State Tournament, which features 17 teams from across the state. Two of those teams will be from right here in Starkville.
“The teams are excited about playing,” tournament director Ron Mitchell said. “Most of them really enjoy coming to Starkville. We have good facilities and are centrally located so we can draw teams from both the south and north.”
