Judge set in Ward 4 race dispute

The gears are turning in a civil suit concerning the results of the Ward 4 Democratic aldermen primary. The Mississippi Supreme Court appointed 10th District Circuit Court Judge Lester Williamson Jr. to oversee the matter. Williamson will hold a conference with attorneys for candidates John Gaskin and Jason Walker — David Mays and Lydia Quarles, respectively — to review information surrounding the dispute at 1:30 p.m. Thursday.
