Aldermen to hear Parks audit report

June 18, 2013

The last meeting of the term for the outgoing Starkville Board of Aldermen promises to be a heavy one. Among the items for consideration, City Clerk Taylor Adams will give a report outlining the financial health and viability of the City Parks Commission within the current budget.

In the report, Adams said he looked at financial statements from the commission’s 2012 audit, budgeted park improvement funds, reports from vendors and parks employees and known parks funding resources outside of the city.
