The future of the Starkville High School baseball program witnessed the change at the top on Friday when Travis Garner was introduced as the new head coach.
As SHS athletic director Stan Miller talked about the accomplishments of Garner and what he brings to the table for the Yellowjackets, there were three sophomores-to-be who were very interested.
Outfielder AJ Brown, who emerged as a starting outfielder as a freshman for SHS last season, looks forward to getting to know Garner.
