Bulldogs make ninth appearance in CWS

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Mississippi State's first appearance in the College World Series came in 1971. 
The Bulldogs will return in 2013 for the ninth time. 
No. 12 (Collegiate Baseball) MSU punched its ticket to the College World Series by sweeping the No. 6 Virginia Cavaliers. MSU beat UVA 11-6 Saturday afternoon at Davenport Field and completed the sweep with a 6-5 victory in the resumption of game two on Monday afternoon.
