Political signage coming down in wake of general election

June 6, 2013

Starkville’s lawns and roadways are shedding some of their clutter in the wake of Tuesday’s general election. Areas previously flooded with political signage are returning to normal, and according to city ordinances they have until Friday to do it.

Section I of Starkville’s signage ordinance says while political signs may be placed up to 90 days prior to an election, all signs should be removed within three days of the election to which they pertain.
