South Alabama, Izzio get win against Mercer

Pitching under the Mississippi sunshine wasn't anything new for South Alabama's Anthony Izzio.
It's something he has done many times before while playing for Vancleave High School and Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College.
Izzio was back on Mississippi turf Friday afternoon and gave up one earned run in six innings to help the Jaguars defeat the Mercer Bears 9-4 in game one of the Starkville Regional Friday afternoon.
