The Mississippi State baseball program is full of history, but on Tuesday the 2013 edition made its own history.
A school-record six Bulldogs received postseason Southeastern Conference honors. The list was compiled in a vote by the league's coaches, who were not permitted to vote for their own athletes.
"We are really proud of our guys," MSU head coach John Cohen said.
For the first time since 2006, MSU had two players selected to the first team. Junior outfielder Hunter Renfroe and sophomore closer Jonathan Holder earned All-SEC first team honors, while junior second baseman Brett Pirtle made the All-SEC second team.
