SOAR distributes community grants

tarkville Oktibbeha Achieving Results (SOAR) distributed $13,820 in grants and awards to nine community organizations on Tuesday.

Nellah Taylor, chairwoman of the SOAR Community Foundation Board of Directors, said SOAR's endowment fund was managed by CREATE, a public charitable foundation, but a local board of directors retained control over the money used for grants and aimed at benefiting the entire county.
