HOOVER, Ala. – It had been a while since Mississippi State or Missouri had scored a run.
The Bulldogs broke the streak with a run in the 17th inning.
The No. 18 (Collegiate Baseball) Bulldogs edged the Missouri Tigers 2-1 in a 17-inning marathon in the first round of the Southeastern Conference Tournament.

The No. 5 seed Bulldogs (41-16) move on to face the No. 4 seed South Carolina Gamecocks in the final game today. The No. 12 seed Tigers (18-32) are eliminated from the tournament.
