It has been about two weeks since the first year of the coach Brian Jones era ended with the Starkville High School baseball team.
That era will only consist of one season.
On Monday night, Jones revealed that he has taken the same position with the Pearl High School Pirates.
Jones said the decision did not come easy, but after much thought and consideration, he felt it was the right move for his family at this time.
“I wasn’t looking to leave or move,” Jones said. “The situation just arose where they contacted me and I really didn’t think much about it. They’ve been in contact over the last couple of months and I just prayed about it a great deal and felt led that it was the best place for our family.”
