The Mississippi State Bulldogs learned late Sunday night that they will be included in the NCAA Tournament field for the second-straight year under head coach Vann Stuedeman.
MSU (32-22) will be playing at the Mobile (Ala.) Regional and take on Florida State in the first round at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
Mississippi Valley State and host South Alabama are the other teams in the field.
Upon learning they had made the NCAA Tournament field, the Bulldogs began celebrating in the team room inside the indoor practice facility.
"Mobile Regional here we come," MSU shortstop Erin Nesbit wrote in a Twitter message. "Time to make some serious noise in the NCAA tourney."
The Bulldogs, who failed to make the Southeastern Conference Tournament with an 8-16 league record, look to get hot again after a poor end to the regular season. MSU lost six of its last seven games.
State has shown an ability to get on a roll this season as it had a nine-game winning streak back in February and March.
