OXFORD – The situation looked bleak once again for the Mississippi State Bulldogs on Sunday afternoon.
After five innings against the rival Ole Miss Rebels, Mississippi State was in danger of being swept for the second time in three weekends.
The No. 24 (Collegiate Baseball) Bulldogs woke up and overcame a six-run deficit to beat No. 27 Ole Miss 7-6 on a sunny Mother's Day afternoon at Swayze Field to avoid the sweep.
