May 10, 2013

OXFORD – Mississippi State and Ole Miss didn't get to play much baseball Friday night.
Rain started to following as the No. 24 (Collegiate Baseball) Bulldogs (36-13, 13-11) were warming up in the bottom of the first inning.
The umpires pulled the Bulldogs off the field at 6:42 p.m. and shortly before 7:30 p.m. a decision was made to suspend the game. The game was scoreless.
The Bulldogs and the No. 27 Rebels (33-16, 12-12) will pick up game one of the series at 3 p.m. today in the bottom of the first inning. MSU head coach John Cohen said he will go ahead and send Luis Pollorena (6-2, 3.92) to the mound to start the suspended game.
Game two of the Southeastern Conference series will follow approximately 40 minutes after the conclusion of game one.
