Stabbing suspect sought

Starkville police are searching for a man suspected in an April 26 stabbing.

According to an SPD press release issued on Tuesday, authorities have issued an arrest warrant for 34-year-old Travis Lavon Seymore on suspicion of aggravated assault-use of a deadly weapon. Seymore reportedly stabbed a victim multiple times in the back, neck and ear.

Seymore is about 5-10 and weighs about 165 pounds, the release said. He’s been known to frequent 307 Central Ave., No. 4, in Starkville and has also been seen in the Columbus area.

Police ask anyone with information as to Seymore’s location to call the SPD at 662-323-4131 or Golden Triangle Crime Stopper at 800-530-7151.
