Jackets beat Chargers 6-5 in baseball

April 30, 2013

OXFORD – Three Starkville High School pitchers kept the Oxford Charger bats at bay long enough for the Yellowjackets to go on the road and get the second-round Class 5A playoffs series started on the right note.
Max Bartlett, Tanner Jones and Tanner Clanton of SHS combined to hold Oxford to seven hits on its home field and the Jackets came away with a 6-5 victory on Tuesday night.
