Jaunita Hamilton

Juanita Valentine Hamilton, 82, passed away on March 28, 2013 at OCH Regional Medical Center in Starkville. She was a retired savings counselor with First Federal Savings & Loan and a member of Center Grove Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school. She was also a member of WMU.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Nonnie Valentine; daughter, Cecilia Clay; and sister, Deloris Gambrell.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Cecil Hamilton of Maben; sons, Glenn Hamilton (Linda) of Maben and Doug Hamilton (Paula) of Starkville; sisters, Joycelyne Hawkins and Hazel McCarty, both of Soso; grandchildren, Jared Clay (Laura) of Gulfport, Webb Hamilton and Paisley Hamilton, both of Starkville; and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation for Mrs. Hamilton is scheduled for 1-3 p.m. Monday at Center Grove Baptist Church in Maben, with the funeral service immediately following in the church. Rev. David Hamilton, Rev. James Alton Ruffin and Rev. Joel Hudson will conduct the service. Burial will be in Center Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
