Mrs. Evelyn Clara Jones Peeples Hatcher, 94, died Jan. 14, 2013 at the Carrington Nursing Center in Starkville.Â
Graveside services will be held 11:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 21, 2013 at Evergreen Cemetery in Jacksonville, Fla.
Visitation will be held 10:30-11:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 21, 2013 prior to services.
Welch Funeral Home of Starkville is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Hatcher was born March 14, 1918, in Hague, Fla. She lived most of her life in Keysville, Fla., and Jacksonville, Fla., but lived in Starkville for the past 26 years.Â
Survivors include her daughter, Sue Odom (Jerry) of Dallas, Texas; sons, C.B. Peeples (Ann) of Douglasville, Ga., and J.L. Peeples (Lynette) of Starkville; sister, Minnie Lee Gatlyn of Tampa, Fla.; brother, William H. (Dubb) Jones Jr. of Alachua, Fla.; 10 grandsons and two step-grandsons; 20 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandson.Â
She is preceded in death by her parents, Clara Ella and William Henry Jones Sr.; her husbands, John Lee Peeples Sr. and Thomas Hatcher; her sisters, Sally Wilson, Ruth Purvis and Laurie Allen; and brothers, Charles and Cye Jones.Â
