Mr. Alfred B. Jackson of Sturgis, 83, died Saturday, Jan.12, 2013 at University Medical Center in Jackson.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 14, 2013 at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home Chapel in Louisville with Rev. Phil Fancher, Rev. Wilburn Hill and Rev. Danny Hill officiating.
Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Sturgis.
Visitation was held 5-8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013 at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home.

Born on Oct. 24, 1929, Mr. Jackson was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. He was a retired farmer and was also a veteran serving in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Mr. Jackson is survived by his wife of 57 years, Rachel Hill Jackson of Sturgis; his son, Todd Jackson of Union; two sisters, Mercede Tabor Doty of Starkville and Lelia Jackson of Sturgis; and two sisters-in-law, Frances Jackson and Helen Jackson, both of Sturgis.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Chapman and Susie Lloyd Jackson; and three brothers, Genese, Reuben and Lafayette “Boose” Jackson.
Serving as pallbearers will be David Jackson, Paul Jackson, James Hill, Nathan Kreps, Jeremy Kreps and Michael Kreps.
