Glynn was born in Little Rock, Ark., grew up in Natchez and graduated from South Natchez-Adams High School in 1981. He attended Belhaven College and the University of Mississippi. He loved the state history of Mississippi and the local history of Natchez. His knowledge of history served him well for over 20 years during his employment in the hospitality industry while working at Natchez Deluxe Tours as director of Natchez Pilgrimage Tours, and as a carriage driver for Southern Carriage Tours.
He personally interacted with thousands of visitors to Natchez through the years and was a great host for his hometown. Glynn moved to Starkville in 2008, and was the manager of The Veranda restaurant. Glynn’s exuberance for life, intelligence and quick wit were an enjoyment for his family, friends and any fellow fan of the Ole Miss Rebels, New Orleans Saints or Saint Louis Cardinals.
Special and dear to his heart, he leaves Kristen Ater Pate, her husband, Adam and their daughter, Aubrey; sister, Eloise Diehl Leffingwell (Don) of Little Rock, Ark.; niece, Kelly McNeese (Jake) of Hurley; and a host of lifelong friends.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Nancy Holmes Diehl of Natchez; father, E.S. "Bill" Diehl of Memphis, Tenn.; and sister, Sky Diehl of Pensacola, Fla.
