Starkville Community Theatre’s annual summer musical revue, “Snapshots”, will kick off on July 26.

Performances will be nightly at 7:30 p.m. July 26 through July 28 and Aug. 2 through Aug. 4 at Starkville Community Theatre, located at 108 East Main St.

SCT Chief Administrative Officer Gabe Smith said “Snapshots” celebrates two decades of Starkville Community Theatre.

“For 20 years, SCT has staged an annual fundraiser show featuring talented local volunteers in a revue-style performance, often Broadway showtunes or standards,” Smith said.

“‘Snapshots’ features some favorite numbers revived from those previous 19 summers, along with a few new musical moments.”

“Snapshots” is directed by Pattye Archer with musical direction by Gwyen Elizabeth Sutphin. Performers include Rylee Burchfield, Taylor Comer, Michele Crescenzo, M.J. Etua, Genny Fischer, Audrey Gammill, Madeline Golden, Brian Hawkins, Lorraine Hughes, Thomas La Foe, Brenda Mayo, Terry McDowell, Sarah Norris, William Norris, Cindy Ruff, Paul Ruff, Brandi Street and Krista Vowell.

The show will feature favorites from classical musicals like “A Chorus Line,” “Evita,” “Hello, Dolly!,” “Les Miserables” and “Rent,” along with numbers from recent musicals like “The Color Purple,” “Dear Evan Hansen,” “Finding Neverland,” “Hamilton,” and “Waitress.”

Some of the tunes include “Can’t Help Falling in Love” and “Put a Little Love in Your Heart.” Admission to the show is $25, which includes preshow desserts in the lobby and a post-show reception with members of the cast, held in the theatre’s upstairs meeting space.

Smith said funds raised through admission help SCT continue improvements in its year-long programming and to keep producing shows that have been entertaining local audiences for more than 40 years.

Reservations are strongly recommended and can be made by calling the box office at (662) 323-6855.
