Looking for some seasonal produce ideas and tips? Look no further!
— Acorn Squash: For a quick and tasty side, slice an acorn squash in half, wrap each half in plastic wrap, and microwave on high until the squash is tender and cooked through. Top with a drizzle of vinegar or fresh herbs.
— Cranberries: Combine cranberries with apples, raisins, brown sugar, apple juice, and dried onions for an incredible cran-apple relish. See recipe in this article.
— Pears: Did you know that pears ripen from the inside out, rather than the outside in? Choose firm, heavy pears and let them ripen at home for a day or two.

Recipe of the Week

Cranberry Apple Relish

12 oz. fresh or frozen cranberries
2 large apples, diced
1/4 cup dried minced onion
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup raisins
1 cup apple juice
Dash cinnamon

Combine all ingredients in a saucepan. Bring to a boil then reduce to a simmer. Cook on low heat until the apples are tender, about 10 minutes. Serve hot or cold.

Chef's Tips:
Make sure that the juice and frozen fruit don't contain any added sugar.
