Mrs. Bobbie Jean Reed Carmichael, 76, died Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012 at her residence in Starkville.Â
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012 at New Hope Baptist Church in Starkville with Brother Bob Brandon officiating.
Burial will follow in the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be held 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012 at New Hope Baptist Church prior to service.
Welch Funeral Home of Starkville is in charge of arrangements.
She was retired from vocational rehabilitation with the state of Mississippi and a member of New Hope Baptist Church. She was a most loving, caring, kind and gentle mother, grandmother and sister.
She is survived by her daughter, Teresa Buchanan (Jerry) of Crawford; son, Donald Carmichael (Lisa) of Starkville; sisters, Glenda Ballard, Virginia Rowlen and Kay Cooper; nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Henry Reed and Lydia Bigham Reed; her husband, Charles Gilbert Carmichael; daughters, Charlsey J. Barksdale and Judy Sanders; grandson, Michael Young; and great-grandson, Dayton Sanders.
